Life Support Technician

A Life Support Technician is regarded as someone who is fully conversant with life support activities associated with subsea marine operations.

They can fully participate in the life support team during operations and will report directly to the Life Support Supervisor when offshore.

The Life Support Technician is expected to take part in the competence assessment process and mentor/coach assistant life support technicians.

Completed a minimum of 2400 logged hours as a trainee LST and has demonstrated competence as an LST or
Completed 360 hours as an ALST and possess an IMCA recognised Saturation diving qualification with 5 years (3 years saturation must be saturation) diving experience
Sit and pass IMCA LST examination
Current and valid survival certificate
Current and valid medical certificate
Complete employing company familiarisation course

4) The ability to participate in emergency procedures as required on the vessel or installation where operations take place
5) The ability to operate the life support systems in a safe and reliable manner in accordance with company procedures
6) The ability to communicate effectively with all personnel involved in diving operations
