Air Diving Supervisor

Job Summary:

An Air Diving Supervisor is regarded as someone who is fully conversant in all air diving activities associated with the subsea marine operations.

They can successfully supervise the Dive Team during operations and will report directly to the Diving Superintendent/Offshore Project Manager when offshore.

The Air Diving Supervisor is expected to coach and assess members of the Dive Team and act as a witness during the competence assessment process.

Entry Level Specifications:

  • An appropriate HSE/IMCA diving qualification
  • min 3 years as an Air Diver
  • Demonstrated competence as an offshore Air Diver (in accordance with IMCA C003) and has completed 200 commercial dives as an Air Diver
  • Complete and pass Air Dive Supervisor training courses
  • 200 hours as a trainee Supervisor on the air control panel on a minimum of 100 surface dives over a minimum period of 60 days
  • Demonstrated competence as an air diving Supervisor in accordance with IMCA guidelines C003 by the end of the period as a 'trainee' supervisor
  • Sit and pass IMCA Air Diving Supervisor examination
  • Current and valid survival certificate
  • Current and valid medical certificate
  • Has received training in the aspects of leadership
  • Completed employer company familiarisation
