Pilot/Technician II

Job Summary:

A Pilot Tech II is regarded as someone conversant in one or more of the following types of system:

• Electrical
• Electronic
• Hydraulic
• Mechanical

It is usually a requirement for all members of the ROV team to pilot the ROV during operations. A Pilot Tech II is expected to be aware of the techniques required to fly an ROV.

The only competence assessed at PTII grade is the ability to perform activities in a safe manner in accordance with legislative and operating company requirements.

Entry Level Specifications:

• Valid and current offshore medical certificate that is acceptable in the region of the world in which they are employed
• Valid and current offshore survival certificate that is acceptable in the region of the world in which they are employed
• Hold a suitable academic qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline or appropriate offshore discipline
• Have a minimum of three years experience in a suitable engineering discipline
• have undertaken an appropriate induction course meeting the criteria in IMCA documents R002
